ABOUT CHLOE GILL
Chloe Gill, is a 20 year old folk rock artist from Newcastle Australia. Chloe has a bona fide sound that is refined by her comfortingly nostalgic voice. Chloe has always had a love for music having grown up in an incredibly supportive and musical family. Encouraged onto instruments from a young age, Chloe began to find her groove in the local music industry by playing and performing regularly. Chloe developed a magnetic passion for songwriting and quickly dived into mentoring programs after successes in auditions.
Her debut single ‘Paper Stars’ was released under the TDP; inspired by Australian Artist William Yang’s ‘Stars In My Hand’, she recorded with her cohort under Phillip Anquetil and Adrian Breakspeare (Gang Of Youths) at SONY Foundations in Sydney. Since this release, Chloe followed up with multiple strong singles, working closely with Gareth Hudson owner and creator of Hazy Cosmic Jive Studios (Amy Vee, Hilltop Hoods and The Modern Artefact – Daniel March). As well as the release of her debut EP ‘The Lonely Man’ in 2023 which she co produced and recorded between The Grove Studios (Birds of Tokyo, Middle Kids and Violent Soho), Sonora Studios (Pacific Avenue) with Jack Nigro and Hazy Cosmic Jive with Gareth Hudson. The EP is a concept project that follows the storyline of a murder mystery and the haunting contortions of the oceans unpredictability as a metaphor for battling anxiety and grief in life.
In addition to her regular gigs where she loves audiences with songs that speak through her mature creativity with emotionally binding lyrics and incomparable melodies, Chloe has earned her name as a local must see act.
ABOUT FIREWORK NIGHT
Firework Night evolved after an unintentional break from writing when Chloe’s time was spent focused on managing her health needs. Time slipped away from the creativity and passion of her music career and she became caught up in navigating her day to day life with a diagnosis of endometriosis. Her latest single touches on the frustration and loss of control she felt during this time while reflecting on memorable celebrations like New Year’s Eve, birthdays, times spent with loved ones and family, and doing what she loves best – performing. The song also explores Chloe’s journey as a young artist trusting her gut to take the leap into a full time career as a musician. Chloe hopes the song inspires people to put themselves and their needs first despite what is going on around them, good or bad. It’s a reminder that saying no to someone or something is actually saying yes to you, and that there is always room for growth in the no’s.
