Ever fancied getting your hands a bit grubby for a good cause and helping out the local environment. The Spiritual Waterways crew are regularly giving the Carrington Mangroves a much needed spruce up. This happens on the last Sunday of each month, but you will need to check their Facebook page for the exact start time because the tides are, well, rather bossy. After you have done your bit, there is a cultural gathering waiting for you at the Carrington Community Centre on Young Street to unwind and enjoy.

Remember to slip on some enclosed shoes, unless you are keen on a spontaneous mud pedicure and possibly losing a shoe. And if you are feeling extra generous, an optional ten dollar donation helps keep the wheels turning, but there is absolutely no pressure. Your effort is the real treasure.
