is a free community event in Newcastle on 14 November 2025 that aims to unearth raw skateboarding talent and give up and comers a real shot at standing out locally and possibly winning a trip to the Jackalope festival in Virginia Beach in the United States. Jackalope has been running in North America for a while, and this is the first edition outside North America. The action will be staged on the beach, which means tricks, sand and the occasional spectator who forgot their shoes.

There will be skateboarding competitions in street and park with a prize pool between $10,000 and $20,000 AUD. The City of Newcastle is funding the event and entry is free. On site there will be a bar, a café, a kiosk and public toilets, and the event is family friendly. Accessible facilities are available, contact the organiser for details. Bring sunscreen and a spare shoelace.
