ArchipelaGO is happening in Newcastle on the 23rd of June 2026, and it's basically four female artists making their own little islands inside a gallery. Vanessa Turton, Aksara Harriram, Jen Denzin and Fran Johnston each have their own weird and wonderful visual language, shaped by whatever life has thrown at them. Together their work forms a sort of archipelago, which is a fancy way of saying a bunch of separate bits that still kinda connect. Expect bright colours, immersive vibes, and a general drift between being your own person and being part of something else. No one's trying to sell you anything, it's just art being art.
If you're wondering about practicalities, there's a carpark, it's family friendly, and if you ask nicely they might let your pet in. Public toilets are available, and the venue actively welcomes people with access needs. So you've got no excuses really, unless you hate colour or live too far away.
