is exactly what it sounds like. The Tipsy Sketching Club hosts a life drawing session that moves at the pace of a sleepy Sunday afternoon. Instead of madly chasing a new pose every thirty seconds, you get to sit and observe the same lovely model for a long, luxurious stretch. This means you have ample time to finesse the shading, contemplate the meaning of negative space, and still have a moment to wonder why you decided to take up drawing in the first place. Its a calm, unhurried affair designed for focus and flow, and the only pressure is from your own internal critic, which you are encouraged to silence with a drink from the bar.

Hosted in the welcoming loft at Meantime on Beaumont on Beaumont Street in Hamilton, the session comes with natural breaks for refreshments, chat, and a bit of friendly showing off of your work. Whether you are a first timer hoping your stick figure is actually a human torso or a seasoned sketcher with a favourite graphite grade, you will fit right in. Drawing materials are supplied if you forget yours, or bring your own gear. Tickets are a very reasonable thirty five dollars. The next ones are on Sunday 21 June 2026 and Sunday 19 July 2026. There is a bar, a restaurant, a carpark, public toilets, and disabled access (contact them for details). It is non smoking upstairs, which is probably for the best. So if you want to spend a Sunday afternoon doing something creative without breaking a sweat, this might be your thing.
